About the Owner

Jason R. Reid discovered his passion for drafting and design at the early age of 14 where he was one of the first among his peers to use AutoCad. By the time Jason was a sophomore in high school he was hired by a residential design firm and gained hands-on experience in every aspect of home design from foundations and floor plans to electrical layouts. Working with structural engineers gave him specific insight on concrete, framing, beams, point loads and roof bracing. After a rapid progression through the company, which included working directly with builders and custom clients, he attended UNC Charlotte to pursue a degree in civil engineering and then established what is known today as Century Designs Incorporated.

It was unprecedented that a 20 year old business owner would design and draft homes for some of the top builders in the nation, but Jason not only succeeded in doing so; he also pioneered Century Designs as one of the leading design firms in the Carolinas. Jason played a key role in one of his brand new builders become the fastest growing builder, ranking 13th in the nation. He also designed a house for a builder of a Crescent community which led to his winning the Gold award for parade of homes.

Century Designs provides home plans for builders and custom clients with a key focus on individual preference. Jason became a builder at the age of 26 and started a thriving building company. Although he’s enjoyed a successful career and built several quality homes, his true passion is home design and planning. In addition, Jason is a professional member of American Institute of Building and Design. After 18 years he continues to design and draft homes for some of the finest builders and custom clients in North and South Carolina.
